When I started talking to colleagues about creating digital sessions and webinars as a step forward for Red Bird, I was surprised how many people misinterpreted who the webinars would be for.

“That’s perfect for parents!”.  Oh, I said. I meant for the children. Once this happened for the third time, I realised that this was definitely needed.  And people had a lot of reasons why.

‘You just can’t get to talk to a teacher’

‘We’re completely in the dark!’

‘She never gets to talk to her teacher – they’re always so busy’

‘He has no idea how to revise!’

Ok, so this sounds like it is needed, because I have the time, I have the experience and I have a revision strategy. If we can support parents, then that serves the purpose of supporting students, just in a different way!

So I am going to be running free monthly webinars, for parents, aimed to make the most of your children’s education journey on the first Tuesday of every month, starting on the 3rd March at 7pm.

We will kick off with timely study and revision support and then tackle topics such as;

  • Tips to ensure your reluctant reader stays up to speed;
  • Signs that your child needs extra support out of school;
  • Ways to keep your child self confident;
  • Maths strategies used now that you didn’t use.

I will be asking for suggestions from parents of topics to tackle as we go forward, but I am excited about this new way forward and supporting families in a wider sense.

If you would like to register for the webinar, please follow this link and I’ll see you on the 3rd March at 7pm.
