What personal data we collect and why we collect it
At Red Bird Tutoring, we are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of our visitors to our website. We want you to know that the Red Bird Tutoring website does not collect any identifying personal information such as your name, email address or phone number unless you specifically enter it. Neither do we sell, rent or trade contact lists with any other companies for business or marketing purposes. We just don’t do that sort of thing.
As part of the registration process for our e-newsletter, we collect personal information. We use that information for a couple of reasons: to tell you about stuff you’ve asked us to tell you about; to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to check our records are right and to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied. We don’t rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.
We use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to deliver our newsletter. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. For more information, please see Mail Chimp’s privacy notice. You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time of the day or night by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails or by emailing Sue Michaels using the form on our Contact page.
Our website stores a record of all form submissions. Your data may be deleted by the site administrator. You may request a report of saved data related to your email address, using the form on our Contact page.
The IP address of visitors, user ID of logged in users, and username of login attempts are conditionally logged to check for malicious activity and to protect the site from specific kinds of attacks. Examples of conditions when logging occurs include login attempts, log out requests, requests for suspicious URLs, changes to site content, and password updates.
Security logs are retained for 60 days.
If you complete a form on or log into our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again. These cookies will last for one year.

Your use of third party web sites and platforms such as Twitter and Facebook, and the privacy practices of these platforms, are governed by separate terms, conditions and policies for which Red Bird Tutoring is not responsible. You should review Twitter’s and Facebook’s terms, conditions and policies where you will find more details on how information about you is used on their platforms and how you can set your privacy preferences.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
When someone visits our website, we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We so this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of our site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.
How long we retain your data
For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
Most cookies are stored for 30 – 90 days, after which they are deleted.

You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
